Midray Furniture began with a simple belief: the details matter. After many years working as a carpenter and furniture maker, I wanted to create a collection where craftsmanship, natural materials and thoughtful design come together — pieces made with care, built to last and enjoyable to live with every day.
Every handle, knob and homeware piece is handcrafted in our East Sussex workshop using carefully selected hardwoods and veneers. I design and make each item myself, shaping and finishing every component so it feels as good in the hand as it looks on the furniture. This small-batch, hands-on approach means quality stays high, materials stay honest, and nothing is rushed.
At Midray, usability and style are inseparable. I draw inspiration from mid-century and minimalist design principles — clarity, warmth, simplicity — and bring them into modern living spaces. The aim is always the same: create functional objects with timeless character, where the beauty is in the details.
Most pieces can be customised, from sizes and hole-spacing to timber choice. If you have something specific in mind or want a personal touch, I’m always happy to help — just email info@midray.co.uk
